Overview

Psychrometric Chart 6.0 from Carmel Software is a software program that allows for complete HVAC psychrometric and process analysis, all graphically displayed on your computer screen. It also provides a professional state point and process report detailing all of the psychrometric and process values. The software has the ability to copy either the report image or the data to the clipboard so you can paste it right into your proposals, presentations or spreadsheets.


Psychrometric 6.0 includes complete state-point and system process analysis. Process modelling capabilities include air mixing, cooling coil, evaporative cooling, desiccant dehumidification, humidification and sensible heating & cooling. All processes can either have an end-point specified, calculating process data, or process data specified, calculating an end-point result.

This program is geared specifically toward the HVAC engineer, instructor, or student doing design for standard HVAC cooling systems, clean-room facilities, museums with precise humidity requirements, and many other types of applications.

1. Complete state-point and system process analysis allows you to model a wide range of processes including air mixing, cooling coil, evaporative cooling, desiccant dehumidification, humidification and sensible heating & cooling. All processes can either have an end-point specified, calculating process data, or process data specified, calculating an end-point result.
2. Complete chart control allows you to specify virtually any altitude, turn lines on & off, set process line colors and widths, specify state point icons, sizes and label fonts.
3. Complete project information and note capabilities are available. Notes are individually controlled allowing for font, color, border, and background to all be specified for each note. It also includes complete drag-and-drop functionality as well as "new-edit-delete" note management.
4. All charts, state-points and process values can be converted between IP and SI units with the click of a button.
5. Any text on the psychrometric chart can be displayed in thirteen (13) different Languages.
6. Right-click pop-up menus allow for easy control of the chart whether it's moving state-point labels or managing chart notes. Left double-click automatically zooms-in and right double-click automatically zooms-out. Hold the left button down and drag allows you full panning of the chart.
7. The software includes a 1400-city climatic database so that elevation values can easily be selected.
